Not everyone can say that they honestly love what they do for a living.
For as long as I can remember, being a decorator was all I wanted to be. As a young girl, twelve years old or so, when my parents would leave on Saturday mornings to run errands, I would quickly jump in and start re-decorating the house. I'd re-arrange the furniture, the nick-knacks and the decor hanging on the walls. I'd go through the linen closet looking for different curtains, table cloths, doilies (remember them?) and towels to spruce things up a bit. Thankfully my parents were always pleased (or pretended to be!) with their newly decorated home, giving me the confidence that would grow my passion into a life-long occupation.
I'm so thankful and blessed beyond words to be the spearhead of this family business!
My husband (since 1975) has been a drywall finisher since high school, an occupation that goes hand in hand with painting and wallpapering. Together we compliment one another's skillset, making it an easy decision to join our talents and create Picture Perfect Painting, LLC in Plainfield, IN.
Our children, Rachel and Chad have grown up doing drywall, painting and wallpapering. Now, our (grown) grandchildren have followed in the family tradition, taking to painting like "pros". I couldn't be any prouder of them!
Our customers love the fact that we are a three-generation family business! They seem to get a kick out seeing the resemblance in myself, my daughter and my granddaughter when we show up on jobs together, or my son being a carbon copy of his dad as they drywall or paint side by side. And our customers find themselves immediately at ease with our son-in-law, Jayson who is friendly, confident and professional as he fills the role of lead painter on our jobs.
Finally, I am happy to say that our customers TRUST us in their homes! We do a lot of work for elderly people and women who live alone. They know that we have been background checked and that we are a family, and we show them the utmost respect while working in their homes as a painting contractor.
Many times, our customers have said they were almost sad when we were done with the job because they so enjoyed our company! Our customers are much more than a "paycheck" to us. They often become friends and life-long customers, calling us back time and time again when they need work done.
I truly LOVE what I do!
